The Disease – Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease, in which the body is unable
to use sugar properly. When we eat, food is broken down into its
simple components; one of which is sugar or glucose. Glucose is a
main source of fuel for our bodies. In order for our bodies to use
this fuel, it needs insulin which is produced in the pancreas. The
pancreas of diabetics either produces little or no insulin or that
the cells in their body do not respond to the insulin that their
